Keep Climbing the Mountain!

One thing that I have found to be true in my experience and through the observation of others is that they gaze upon their highest ideal as if it’s a mountain, so high they believe they’ll never reach its peak, which represents their highest potential.

Every journey, however, must begin with a single step…

If you couldn’t reach such heights, you would never have been able to envision them in the first place. The challenge is coming to terms with the sacrifices that are going to have to be made for you to align with your best self.

Your senses must be controlled. Your limiting beliefs and fear-based emotions, integrated. The sense of self you derive from your memories, burnt in the fires of transformation. Your lustful gazes upon those you find attractive, quelled. The things you consume that make you feel better initially, but worse, in the long run, relinquished. The false desires you believe you need to fulfil before you can find true happiness and inner peace, discarded. Your peace and health-destroying habits, transformed.

But to name a few…

Yes, you’ll fall, you’ll make mistakes. Transformation, change is never easy, it is messy, unpredictable, full of twists and turns. However, all change occurs within the outer perimeter of your being, on the level of the ego. The only unchangeable aspect of your nature is your consciousness, at the very core of your being.

When you enter this sacred abode if even only temporarily, you reach the top of the peak because you’re aligned with your ever-new self in the transcendental waters of your innermost being. But eventually, you’ll come back into your normal waking state where the impressions of the past are ready to pounce upon you once more.

The journey is a process, and the process is the destination. The higher up you ascend the mountain, the more controlled, kind, loving and at peace you become, both within and without. One could say when one truly reaches the top of that peak, they remain in their inner self permanently.

But the top of one mountain is the bottom of another…

Never cease climbing, no matter how awakened you believe you are.

The expansion of your consciousness is perpetual – it never ends, and nor do you.
