The Ascended Masters

The Masters are those enlightened beings who, after ascending to the highest level of spiritual enlightenment, in their compassion for humanity, decide, time and time again to return to Earth to help us realise our innate perfection.

On this page, you’ll learn of some of the Masters I’ve had the pleasure of learning from, working with and merging energetically with in dreams and meditation. If you feel a resonance to one or more of these Masters, then I encourage you to nurture that connection and see where it takes you.

These beings have realised their omnipresence in the divine consciousness, and that’s the only difference between them, and you is that they know they aren’t just a wave of the sea, but the entire sea within the wave. Ascension is precisely this; the realisation that we’re already exactly who we desire to be─we just believe the opposite, as I say in The Labyrinth: Rewiring the Nodes in the Maze of Your Mind

Connecting to these beings, and especially during meditation can help you tremendously if you don’t resist their energies.

Paramahansa Yogananda

It was the year of 2011 when I first stumbled across the work of this great man of God! One look into his transfixing eyes changed everything for me. I knew I was gazing into the mirror of eternity─that I’d known those eyes before, and I wasn’t wrong.

Yogananda’s, Autobiography of a Yogi, which has sold over a staggering 40 million copies and counting since it’s original release back in 1946, has transformed the lives of millions. When he first brought his nonsectarian approach to God to the west from India, he was scoffed at by many so-called Christians who branded him as a charlatan. Little did they know that this great Master was sent to Earth by Jesus Christ himself, to unite the teachings of the Bible with those of the Bhagavad-Gita, to show the world that the truth is universally one, for all.

When I heard Yogananda say that Christ himself sent him to Earth, I too had my doubts. I was raised in a Catholic family, grew up in a Catholic school and was pretty much force-fed the wafer and the wine whenever I was obligated to go to mass on Sunday. It was reading the great Indian epic, the Mahabharata, which opened me up to the teachings of India and soon after that, I found Yogananda through a podcast of his loyal disciple, Swami Kriyananda, founder of the Ananda community.

Swami Kriyananda: Disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda

The teachings of Krishna felt so familiar to me, but my subconscious, Catholic beliefs wouldn’t allow me to fully accept them as divine. My intellectual mind had been conditioned by the church that any spiritual truth that didn’t come from the Bible was of Satan! Naturally, I was concerned as the beliefs of the past hijacked my perception of reality─yet, Yogananda’s eyes were full of divine inspiration. I really desired to know the truth, so I prayed to God.

That same night, I dreamed of Jesus and Yogananda, together. Christ told me emphatically, to follow the teachings and meditations of Paramahansaji. From then on, I was fully convinced that this man was indeed, a channel for divine love and inspiration to enter this world.

Yogananda, through his lineage of Masters who include, Swami Sri Yukteswar, Lahiri Mahasaya, and Mahavatar Babaji, was instructed to bring the ancient science of Kriya Yoga to the west. I’ll let Yogananda, in his own words, explain what Kriya Yoga is:

“Practice Kriya Yoga, and you will surely succeed on the spiritual path. That is my own experience. The liberating power of Kriya Yoga sunders the prison bars of karma. I have never found in East or West such a great technique as this. Everyone who is a follower of Kriya and of this path of Self-Realization Fellowship will go far ahead. Meditate and see the results in yourself.”

“The science of Kriya Yoga is eternal. It is true like mathematics, like the simple rules of addition and subtraction, the law of Kriya can never be destroyed. Burn to ashes all books on mathematics; the logically minded will always rediscover such truths. Suppress all books on yoga; its fundamentals will be re-revealed whenever there appears a sage with pure devotion and consequently pure knowledge.”

“Bliss—which is God, man’s ultimate goal—is felt in an intense degree in the practice of Kriya Yoga. The practice of Kriya is far more purely blissful than the greatest enjoyment that any of our five senses or the mind can ever afford us. I do not wish to give anyone any other proof of this truth than is afforded by his own experience. The more one practices Kriya with patience and regularity, the more one feels intensely and durably fixed in Bliss, or God.”

Yogananda’s work can be found through his foundations official website, which I’ll list below, along with Ananda’s website, and also a link where you can read his Autobiography for free online. His life’s story is always the best place to start if you feel a resosnance with this Master, who is just as active and with you today as he was when he roamed the Earth.
